Ticks, fleas, and mosquitoes can all cause diseases with undesirable side effects, which means they pose a risk to you, your loved ones, and your pets. These diseases include symptoms such as fever, rash, stiffness, sleeplessness, disorientation, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, and much more. Some of these diseases, while rare, can even end up being fatal.

For pets, heartworm poses a significant danger. The parasite is carried by mosquito bites and will invade dog and cat hearts. It can kill them without proper intervention, which is why veterinarians recommend routine heartworm prevention medication.

Common diseases that mosquitoes carry include:

  • West Nile virus
  • Heartworm
  • Eastern Equine Encephalitis
  • Zika virus

Diseases transmitted by tick bites are:

  • Lyme disease
  • Rocky Mountain spotted fever
  • Ehrlichiosis
  • Anaplasmosis

Fleas can carry illnesses such as:

  • Bubonic plague
  • Murine typhus
  • Allergic dermatitis
  • Tularemia

Routine mosquito, tick, and flea control treatments will reduce the presence of these pests on your Dighton, MA property.

Details About Our Pest Control Treatments

We begin applying treatments for these pests to control their appearance in your yard in April. Every 19-21 days thereafter, we visit your home to mist and fog the entire area for mosquitoes, ticks, and fleas until their season ends in November. In April and July, we also place tick control tubes around the yard.

Each visit begins at $78 per 1/2 acre and goes up by $12 for each additional 1/4 acre. Each 1/4 acre requires six tubes two times per season for a total of 12 tubes per year, and each of those tubes cost $11.
